Medicare does not extend provisions for covering supplements of oral nutritional nature. The beneficiary must be enrolled with Medicare Part B for receiving the coverage for enteral nutritional therapy. Medicaid must cover the enteral formula if it is medically necessary, there is no such mandate for the private insurances.
